Product Introduction
Veryan BM3D™ BioMimics 3D Peripheral Self-Expanding Stent System is designed for the treatment of symptomatic de novo lesions in the native superficial femoral artery (SFA) and/or the proximal popliteal artery. It is the world's first 3D helical stent, based on biomimetic principles, with a unique three-dimensional helical structure that mimics the natural curvature of human blood vessels. This design reduces irritation and damage to the vessels, promoting physiological swirling blood flow within the stented segment, which increases wall shear stress. As a result, it helps reduce intimal hyperplasia, prevent atherosclerosis, and lower the risk of restenosis. Additionally, its 3D helical form offers excellent biomechanical performance, allowing the stent to better accommodate the various deformations caused by body movements in the femoropopliteal artery. This effectively reduces local strain on the stented segment, thereby lowering the risk of stent fracture.
● 3D helical structure induces swirling blood flow, which raises wall shear stress at vessel wall to reduce restenosis
● 3D helical structure allows stent to comply vessel shortening, which reduce the risk of stent fracture and associated vascular injuries
